London Welcomes New Hampton By Hilton Park Royal

Starboard Hotels, one of Britain’s leading privately-owned hotel businesses, is delighted to announce the opening of their first London hotel, the Hampton by Hilton, London Park Royal, situated on the A40, one of London’s arterial routes.

Starboard, who own and operate 21 hotels across the UK under world-renowned brands such as IHG, Ibis, Best Western and Days Inn, as well as their own brand properties, have now opened the doors at the new Hampton by Hilton, London Park Royal, their first collaboration with the globally recognised Hilton Worldwide brand.

The spectacular hotel, a £26m plus investment by Starboard, incorporates a Grade-II listed facade, offering unprecedented views from the 162 bedrooms, 17 of which are fully accessible, of landmark locations including Wembley Stadium and The Shard.

Paul Callingham, Executive Chairman of Starboard Hotels and a leading figure in the UK property and hospitality sector, is understandably pleased to be opening the company’s first hotel in the capital. He said: “This is a hugely significant moment, not only for our business and the team here at Starboard but also for the hotel sector in London and the West London community. “It has been an ambitious project to redevelop the building and enhance the wonderful art deco features with a sympathetic restoration that reflects the heritage of both the building and its location.

“Partnering with the world-renowned Hilton brand is an important milestone in our business as we continue to grow in this challenging economic climate. We are rightfully proud of the new Hampton by Hilton, London Park Royal which brings our portfolio to 21 hotels.”

The hotel sits within the Mayor of London’s Old Oak and Park Royal regeneration scheme and is Ealing Council’s third Hilton branded hotel in the area.  Simon Vincent OBE, Hilton Executive Vice President, EMEA said: “Congratulations to everybody involved in the opening of this exciting new hotel.”

Neil Russell, Managing Director of developers RGB Ltd, added: “It is a privilege once again to have worked with Starboard Hotels on the development of this fantastic hotel. We are delighted to have delivered the project with the wider team over the past months.”

The impressive lobby of the hotel is finished with five unique stunning art deco panels created by Britain’s top stained glass artist, Jackie Callingham, from www.theboathousestudio.net

Facilities include a fitness suite, a state-of-the-art business suite – ideal for conference calls and meetings. The hotel team, many of whom hail from the nearby area, is headed up by highly experienced General Manager Marnix Teeken and Deputy GM Tatiana Leonardo.

Designed by Glasgow based architects Maith Design, Hampton by Hilton, London Park Royal boasts impressive green credentials achieving Breeam Very Good status, hidden behind the listed red brick façade, including the most modern energy saving insulation, an array of solar panels hidden on the rooftop along with a green garden planted roof and a combined heat and power unit.

The hotel’s tech infrastructure, designed  by Starboard IT Director Mohammed Umer is the first in the Hampton by Hilton portfolio to operate an entirely digital, 3CX ip telephone system, with fully cloud-based storage ensuring the day-to-day tech operations of the hotel can be run remotely, from Starboard’s head offices in Beaconsfield.
