Starboard Demonstrates CanO Do Attitude in Embrace of Refreshing New Green Initiative
Starboard Hotels have recently launched a new initiative to enhance their green credentials with CanO Water, a response to the damaging effects of plastic on the environment, being introduced across the portfolio to reduce plastic waste. Following the success of a short pilot at the Holiday Inn Express Burnley, the environmentally-friendly product will now be gradually rolled out across the estate.
According to Compliance Manager, Tim O’Brien, the introduction of CanO Water in all twenty Starboard properties represents the first of a number of measures that will be incorporated as part of a concerted drive to decrease plastic dependence within the group, following a recent review of bottled water sales: “We felt CanO Water would be a great way to start reducing the amount of plastic waste generated by the group. The cans are infinitely recyclable, made up of a minimum of 68% recycled content, and the can also stays cooler for longer.”
The latest initiative instituted by Starboard not only reaffirms our commitment to sustainable initiatives that protect the environment, it also demonstrates our dedication to finding new and innovative ways of becoming progressively more environmentally conscious without compromising on the quality of our guest service.
