Meeting and Events Supervisor – Best Western Plus Epping Forest


We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic event planner to produce events from conception through to completion. Event coordinator responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations.


Job Title: Meeting and events Supervisor

Reports To: General Manager

Years’ Experience:

One year experience in the same role in a similar Hotel setting

Main purpose of the Job:

To support the Hotels Management team in driving sales through conferences, events and groups business.



• Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits and client’s specifications

• Liaise with clients in a timely manner to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction

• Creating contracts and function sheets / BEO’S using all customer requirements and issuing contracts to all customers according to Hotel guidelines and time frames

• Provide feedback and Reports to the General Managers and Management team in a timely manner and in line with Hotel requirements

• Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality to all customers/guests

• Organize facilities and manage all event’s details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc

• Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations

• Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities

• Cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize event

• Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day

• Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes


• Proven experience as an events planner or organizer in a Hotel setting

• Impressive portfolio of previously managed events (weddings, meetings, parties, corporate events)

• Excellent time management, communication skills and the ability to multi-task

• Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships

• Ability to manage multiple projects independently

• MS Office proficiency, PowerPoint skills

• Willing to submit references from previous clients

• BS in Event Management or related field
